Plastics are everywhere in our daily life, and we enjoy their excellent properties in countless applications. But what exactly is going on behind the scenes? How is a new product developed? During your Baylab plastics visit, you learn about many different applications of plastics. It depends on you how detailed you want to go into the topic. But the general motto is “the more you ask, the more answers you get.”

Here is some feedback from students:

I wouldn’t have thought that a plastic spoon could be such a high-tech thing.

I had no idea that this awesome stuff was developed here. So the soccer ball is from Bayer… and the loudspeakers, too? Super! (Referring to the PurSonic sound modules)

Here you can practice quite interesting chemistry without complicated formulas.

This day was much better than school. Now we know what we are learning for!

We have learned about a side of chemistry today that is totally exciting and interesting.

This day was fully worth it, even if we’ve been on the road since 4:30 this morning. I wouldn’t have thought that the work at Bayer could be so interesting.

This day was a highlight for me. It drew an impressive image of the German educational system. I will talk about it a lot in America.

Usually, when we are visiting Bayer or other corporations, we are always greeted by stiff gentlemen in white shirts and ties. They are talking to us non-stop and tell us about things that nobody really understands. But here, everyone is so nice and easy-going. It’s really fun to learn about new things. And learning is interesting because we actually get to do things.
