THE PEOPLE BEHIND PLASTICS
Products are, first and foremost, developed by people. Many different professions are involved when an idea is developed into a finished product. And finally the product must be marketed. We’ve counted all the different professions that are involved in producing the housing of a mobile phone and came up with more than 40! To provide an overview of the different professions, our student lab shows how school transitions into vocational training and/or college studies. Bayer supports more than 20 vocational training professions and dual study courses. If you are interested, we can talk about those as well during your day at Baylab. Please mention this in your registration.
Here is some feedback from students:
I wouldn’t have thought that it’s the engineers who do the most interesting work. Now I finally understand why designers are limited by so many constraints.
The work in the technology team is great fun and totally interesting! I think I will reconsider what I want to do after graduating from high school.
I have learned today that I can only achieve something if I contribute myself.
It was a completely new experience for me that with commitment and interest, you can learn so much in such a short time if you work together.
What do I have to do to make this my career? What education or which type of studies lead to this kind of work? This is so much fun and it’s super interesting.
Today I learned that I have to contribute more to the team if I want to achieve something.
I expected something entirely different. But it is fabulous what Bayer MaterialScience is offering us. We never had this great insight into a company and the professional world before.
